Description
huendeskesDue to an excess of guitars, I would like to exchange, or possibly sell, my well-maintained 1986 Japanese Vantage Avenger stratocaster, as featured in the ad. Vantage guitars were manufactured in Japan from the mid-70s to the late-80s by the renowned Matsumoko factory, until Matsumoko was acquired by Singer, and the Vantage brand name by Samick.
Specifications:
- Japanese ash body (4.6kg), coral finish with silver and pearl pigments
- Very solid, very comfortable Canadian maple neck, Brazilian rosewood fretboard, jumbo frets (leveled, polished), Gotoh tuners
- The fine-tuning screws and associated mechanism of the two-point tremolo are unfortunately missing, but the tremolo unit itself works. It is currently wedged with a piece of ash.
- Low-output, sealed, ceramic magnet pickups. The single coils are a bit noisy, but sound nice and are original. With one pickup change, it would hold its own in the upper mid-range.
- The instrument has undergone a full setup. No further investment needed, it's ready to play immediately.
Many things could be considered for exchange or trade-in, but guitars only in very specific cases due to the reasons mentioned above. What I'm primarily interested in:
- Audio recorder, Digital home studio
- More serious Looper
- Acoustic guitar multi-effect
- Electro-Harmonix B9, Key9
- Quality Ukuleles
- Six-string banjo (five-string also welcome)
