It's a device engineered to control amplifiers that are not MIDI-controllable via MIDI.
If you have a MIDI floorboard or similar device, why not use it to switch your amplifier's functions with a single button press (while also switching a MIDI effects processor, for example)?

It can control any function of any amplifier that is a simple On/Off switch, not a momentary switch, and/or any footswitchable function (channel switching, reverb, loop switching, etc.).
It can control four On/Off functions via 2 stereo jacks, but a 5-pin DIN socket is also available for accessing the switches. This socket is fully compatible with, for example, the footswitch socket of the Laney IRT Studio amplifier, making it MIDI-controllable because this feature was omitted from the IRT from the factory.
Of course, it also works with other amplifiers with similar sockets (Mesa, Bogner, Peavey, Marshall, etc.).
Small, lightweight, 128 program slots available, responds to "Program Change" or "Control Change" MIDI messages (selectable on power-up), extremely simple and fast programming and use. In a sturdy aluminum case, with durable paint!
Can be used with MIDI controllers, multieffects, USB/MIDI cables, or any device with a MIDI OUT port.
Buffered (lossless) Midi Thru port for daisy-chaining the MIDI signal to other devices, phantom power option via the Midi In port (if the MIDI Out providing device supports it), but it also runs on a standard 7-12V DC power supply.
