I-ONIX represents a completely new category in digital audio recording, which can be perfectly integrated into any home or professional studio equipment. After the previously released FW 810S Firewire model, Lexicon has launched its new USB 2.0 audio/MIDI interfaces called IONIX U22, U42S, and U82S. Lexicon intends these new interfaces to be placed on the desk, easily accessible, ideally between the keyboard and the monitor.

These also feature dbx microphone preamps on all analog inputs, and come with the Pantheon II VST/AU reverb plugin. The U22 has 2 XLR/TRS combo analog inputs and 2 TRS outputs, 1 Hi-Z instrument input, 1 headphone output, and MIDI I/O. The US42S has 4 analog and 2 SPDIF digital inputs, 2 Hi-Z instrument inputs, and 2 headphone outputs, while the U82S differs in its 8 analog inputs. All interfaces have dedicated knobs and level indicators to help set input/output signal levels quickly and conveniently.

The included software package contains the Steinberg CueBase LE 4 recording software, which is already familiar from desktop studios, a Toontrack Ezdrummer Lite drum sampler, and of course the Pantheon II plug-in. All components of the package can be run in both Windows and Mac environments.
