For sale is a Diamond brand jazz guitar made in Japan between 1974-76.
Made in the Matsumoku factory, most likely by hand (fine handcrafted inscription on the paper in the f-hole). The Matsumoku factory initially operated independently, then as Aria factories, and in the eighties, legendary Japanese Epiphones came out from there. Precise craftsmanship, outstanding quality, and great sound characterize their products. In short, Japan!
The guitar is in excellent, scratch-free condition. Perfectly straight neck (even after 40 years!), mature sound, perfect electronics. Everything is original. It came to Hungary from a German collector via eBay.
Link verifying its authenticity and some data about the guitar from a contemporary catalog:
www.matsumoku.org
www.matsumoku.org (the only difference is the Diamond inscription on the neck, but Aria's English Wikipedia states that they initially produced under several brand names.)
And the same guitar on eBay with a different inscription:
www.ebay.com
Can be tested in Veszprém under practice room conditions. It's worth it! Especially compared to a Cort or a modern mass-produced Chinese guitar! It has an incredibly comfortable neck...
Trade for a Japanese-made Fender Tele or Strat is possible..
