Waldorf's analog novelty: Pulse 2

The analog desktop synthesizer family has been expanded with the Waldorf Pulse 2 analog synthesizer. The classic predecessor has been moved into a metal housing, in a nice tabletop form. New compared to its predecessor are Filter FM (!), ringmod, cross-modulation among high-frequency possibilities, and a completely new solution, the paraphonic mode for up to 8 voices.
(Paraphonic mode: Old string synthesizers had a circuit that could divide the master oscillator output to other frequencies. Paraphonic differs from polyphonic mode in that the waveforms and modulations are the same for each "voice", and the filter and amplifier sections are also shared. However, it can be used to play chords despite being fundamentally a highly capable bass, solo, and effects synthesizer)

The Pulse 2 comes with 500 presets out of the box, showcasing its synthesis capabilities with a wide range of styles, from classic synth sounds to punchy bass tones and lead sounds, but it can also produce many FX and atmospheric sounds.

It features a large 128x64 LCD display for clarity, and has analog inputs, capable of USB-MIDI and analog 5-pin MIDI communication.
