Description
huendeskesIt has a 1x15" Eden speaker (8 ohm), plus a switchable tweeter.
It has separate inputs for active and passive instruments, with a switchable limiter (LED).
In civilized settings, it can play properly alongside the acoustic volume of the drums, and if you need to turn it up, the combo can handle it.
I wouldn't recommend it for "church-burning" thrash metal, but you can dial in a sound that works well in many genres (the mids can be shaped in two ranges), it tends to sound a bit dark, the tweeter sometimes seemed a bit sharp, but with careful scooping and not too extreme settings, it's decent in the mix.
In addition to the XLR line out (switchable whether the preamp colors the output or it's a clean signal), there's an effects loop and a headphone output on the front panel. An external speaker can be connected to the back (must be at least 4 ohms).
It's relatively easy to transport with its twenty-seven kilograms; a person of normal physique can carry it for short distances without issue, it has passable handles and wheels - two people can carry it easily, it's about camaraderie in the band.
Canadian made, a solid piece; I liked it, but I've been playing guitar almost exclusively for a while now and can't utilize it.
It's no longer manufactured, but you can still check it out here: traynoramps.com
