The TEAC 144 was the world's first
multitrack recorder,
the first portable studio from the 80s.
4-track analog, vintage home studio for those susceptible to such things.
for experimenters, hobby musicians.
for bands as a mixer + for demoing in the rehearsal room, even just for headphones.

Records on normal cassette tapes, at triple speed. 4 tracks. but up to 3 can be mixed onto 1 track. but this obviously involves a decrease in sound quality.
mastering mode, subsequent simultaneous mixing of 4 tracks. bass, treble, pan, effect loop.
etc.

I definitely want to sell it only into careful hands.
