Hello everyone!
An excellent SUNN Mustang from under the Fender umbrella...
Let me tell you...
Sunn was the company of the American Sundholm brothers from the sixties. They manufactured amplifiers (mainly Fender-based) in their Oregon workshop.
No lesser names used them than Hendrix or Pete Townshend from The Who.
In the 80s, the brand was acquired by Fender... and this is where the guitars come in.
Within the company, they were intended as competitors to the Japanese Squiers.
They were exclusively made for England... and to make them accessible, the first series was produced in the Indian colonies.
Later, they also made "rearing horse" Mustangs in Korea and China... but these are unfortunately quite poor nowadays...
In 2002, Fender discontinued the brand.
Made in India in 1987.
Alder Body... a Blackie...
Maple neck... Brazilian rosewood fingerboard...
The whole guitar is nitro lacquered!! Which is good not only because it wears beautifully, but also because, compared to polyurethane lacquer, it forms a thin layer, allowing the guitar to resonate.
Original large-logo Fender derived pickups sound sensational...
Humbucker at the bridge, so it's also great for heavier stuff...
So, how does it sound? I made a little preview video with the guitar... listen to it!

Punchy... nice Strat sound... warm tone due to the rosewood.
The other secret is the excellent neck.... with a modern C profile... large Jumbo frets... very comfortable to play.
Extremely clean guitar, in any position.
The instrument is in perfect condition, with normal signs of use and handling.
Frets are immaculate... with new 0.9 gauge strings.
Smells good... from a smoke-free environment. :)
Better than a Mexican Strat???
Better... not in the same league!! And even the price is better..
