Hello!
An excellent SUNN Mustang from under the Fender wings...
Let me tell you...
Sunn was a company of the American Sundholm brothers from the sixties. They manufactured amplifiers (especially Fender-style ones) in their Oregon workshop.
No less than Hendrix or Pete Townshend from The Who used them.
In the 80s, the brand was acquired by Fender... and this is where the guitars come in.
Internally, they were intended as competition for the Japanese Squier.
They were made exclusively for England... and to make them accessible, the first series was manufactured in the Indian colonies.
Later, they also made "bucking horse" Mustangs in Korea and China... but these are unfortunately quite inferior now...
In 2002, Fender discontinued the brand.
Made in India in 1985. Mahogany body... in beautifully yellowed Pearl White color... (the fashion color of Fender in the 80s)
Maple neck... rosewood fingerboard...
The whole guitar is nitro-lacquered!! Which is good not only because it has yellowed beautifully, but also, compared to polyurethane lacquer, it forms a thin layer, allowing the guitar to resonate.
Original high-output Fender derived pickups sound sensational...
So, how does it sound? I made a short sample video with the guitar... listen to it!

Punchy... nice Strat sound... warm tone due to the rosewood.
The other secret is the excellent neck.... with a modern C profile... large Jumbo frets... very comfortable to play.
Extremely clean guitar, in every position.
The instrument is in perfect condition, with normal signs of use and scratches. Nicely yellowed.
Frets are okay... freshly polished... with new hybrid strings.
It comes with a very sturdy, good condition, period hard case...
From a good-smelling... smoke-free environment. :)
Better than a Mexican Strat???
Better... not in the same category!! And its price is even better...
