A 1985 Sony MXP mixer is for sale (it was $7000 USD new at the time), in very nice condition, with refurbished transistor preamps and a DC-DC converter power supply (can run on a 12V battery). It's 8-channel, with direct outs added using 2 Sommer Quantum/Amphenol breakout cables. All ICs have been replaced with premium quality ones (24x OPA1642 in the cards, 15x LME49720 in the summing amp), built into sockets + all decoupled with ceramic capacitors. It has a very good sound, the EQs are also fantastic now, but the mixer alone weighs about 15kg, which is too difficult for me to move around in a rack with other gear for mobile recordings. The service manual is included, it's easy to service. The rack shown in the picture is also for sale, SKB copy, 6U front, 10U horizontal, 8U rear, in perfect condition.
