Description
huendeskesA lonely guitar, in its mid-thirties, seeks an understanding, gentle companion.
My childhood guitar is for sale. It's a Bulgarian-made Orfeus type jazz guitar replica from the early '80s, with a hollow body that can also function as an acoustic guitar. It's in excellent, well-preserved condition for its age (as seen in the pictures) - it stood lonely in a closet for the last 25 years, which is why it's in such great shape. Everything is original except for the tuners and the output jack: the tuners had to be replaced because time had corroded some plastic parts; the output jack had a strong contact issue and remained DIN, as it was. I'll include a DIN-to-jack adapter.
The wood of the guitar body is unknown to me. The glued neck is straight (not warped), has 21 frets (frets are in 80% condition), scale length is 654mm, nut width is 43mm, and it's 54mm wide at the 12th fret. The pickups produce a P90-like sound (as well as the Bulgarians could copy it - they are a bit quiet, so a booster would be welcome). It has two volume and one tone potentiometer, surprisingly in good condition: they barely crackle. (They were in worse condition in a Squier after 3 years than these are after 34 years.)
The guitar was only used in a room and spent the vast majority of its life locked away in a closet. The guitar is fully playable and usable. The original strap and original fabric cover are included, and I'll provide it with new 9/42 strings.
Reason for selling: underutilization. I am primarily looking for interest from collectors and DIY enthusiasts.
No trades, thanks.
