The 120 is the smallest model with a built-in 5.25-inch polypropylene woofer. The cabinet material is die-cast aluminum, which eliminates cabinet resonance. Due to the extreme durability of the cabinet material, the designers managed to 'squeeze out' a lower cut-off frequency of 52Hz from this tiny little box. The extraordinary design is further enhanced by the cabinet's special MMD (Mathematically Modeled Dispersion, Reflection) technology, which attenuates 'partial' resonances that form on the speaker and lead to distortion, regarding the speaker's placement in the acoustic space. Flexible adjustable acoustic controls are located on the back, adjustable in four positions depending on the boosting and attenuation of low, mid-low, and high frequencies. The built-in Class AB analog amplifiers power the speakers with 80 - 80 watts each. Its powerful Titanium dome tweeter reproduces even very high frequencies with brilliance, while the long-excursion woofer delivers soft, full bass. The cabinet design and carefully selected speaker drivers make this series a balanced and special loudspeaker. Recommended for almost any situation, for tracking, mixing, mastering, and even broadcast use where demanding near-field monitoring is required.
