Description
huendeskesAround 1974, vintage precision bass, around 1979, period-correct, with active EMG pickups.
Scratches on the body from use, but no serious damage. The neck is good, the truss rod is adjustable. (At the base of the neck!) The body is linden (according to the carpenter), the neck and fingerboard are maple, beautifully yellowed under the lacquer. The pickguard has also beautifully yellowed over the past forty years, so this is a beautiful, well-preserved, but used vintage instrument. The frets have been dressed but are still fully usable and appear original. The tuners are intact and working.
Its sound contains slightly more highs and lows than classic passive precision basses; if I want that sound, I have to turn down the tone knob halfway. I also reduce the bass on the amplifier because I find the active EMG output too much.
It comes with a well-maintained gig bag that can also be worn as a backpack, and a worn "ashtray" bridge cover.
Ideal for blues, classic rock, and even retro parties, both in appearance and sound.
Trade for a short-scale bass is also possible, even for a more expensive one.
