Description
huendeskesThe Maya company manufactured these lawsuit instruments (under the name Maya, or El Maya) in Kobe, Japan in the 70s, until the factory was destroyed in an earthquake. At that time, the Japanese were copying Fender instruments at the highest level and used the best local wood materials, which resulted in instruments of such quality that they threatened Fender company, hence the lawsuit.
This is a hardtail strat, an amazing resonance instrument, with phenomenal sustain, and a killer strat sound. Since it has no tremolo, it holds tuning excellently. It has a mahogany neck, which adds even more to the attack. The electronics have 3 switches, you can switch each pickup individually, allowing you to use them in combinations that are not available on classic strats.
Even Fender's brand service marveled at it, no wonder, such instruments are no longer manufactured today.
Set up, frets leveled and profiled, ready for battle. Not interested in trades.
