Description
huendeskesMy 1976 Japanese Maya guitar in excellent condition is for sale.
Currently equipped with a Fender American standard pickup set, and a Seymour Duncan DP184 'Chopper' at the bridge, but the original Japanese set is also available. The instrument is set up with 09-42 Elixir strings, ready to play immediately. Of course, there are minor surface scratches, but the lacquer is thick. Discreetly placed behind the 5-way pickup selector switch is a mini-toggle switch to split the TB184.
Tahara
Founded by father and son, Ryohei Tahara and the unknown Tahara. I don't know which was the father and which was the son. The company existed until the end of 1979, when it was acquired by Saga Musical Instruments. In total, the company existed for less than a decade as Tahara. Both the Maya and El Maya badges are attributed to Tahara. Saga Musical Instruments still exists today.
