For sale is this Stamar (Marris) electro-acoustic guitar with a turtle back in perfect condition, with brand new Daddario EXP strings. The guitar's special feature is its turtle back (like Ovations), making the playing experience like playing an electric guitar. Furthermore, due to the neck joint and cutaway, all frets are easily accessible, it's not just a visual cutaway. Its volume is moderate, I would say loud for its size, but of course, it will be quieter due to the smaller body. It has a very elegant, fine sound; these guitars with turtle backs can have a very, very good sound. It's different from regular acoustic guitars, but in my opinion (and many others'), it's much better. When amplified, it retains its character. It has a 3-band EQ, plus a volume control, allowing you to cut/boost treble, mids, and bass as desired.
It is complemented by a beautiful flame top with a Three Tone Sunburst finish. It features elegant binding all around the body and continuing up the neck.
If you want a more serious instrument than most guitars in this price range, but don't have the money for an Ovation, you've found it. Its original new price was over 100,000 forints. I got it from a friend who bought it a few years ago but never learned to play it, and now he gave it to me to sell. It was barely used, so the frets are practically new.
It was handmade in Slovakia or the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, I couldn't find out more from Google, except that it was highly praised in a review in the Czech Republic, and that the standard Dreadnought shape sells for the same price I'm asking for this cutaway and roundback model.
A case is available for +5000 forints, but it's not for sale separately while the guitar is available.
