Vintage guitar combo for sale, technically excellent, aesthetically good for its age.
Model: Marlboro G-40R (you can also find descriptions under the Hohner brand name). Made in U.S.A.
Power: 37W (40W)
It has 3 types of inputs: Bright/Normal/Mellow - since the 3 inputs meet at mixing resistors, an MP3 player can also be connected to the Normal input if you connect the guitar through the Bright input. Of course, in this case, the MP3 volume must be adjusted to the device on the player.
It has a built-in spring reverb.
Built-in tremolo effect.
The reverb and tremolo effects can be switched on/off with any standard external footswitch via the standard jack connector on the back of the unit.
Treble and bass tone control.
12-inch (30 cm) original M12Q Marlboro speaker.
Can be connected to an external cabinet (8 ohm output - 6.3 Jack), it has an astonishingly big, powerful sound.
The output transistors are driven by a transformer from the factory, which is noticeable in its dynamics; it didn't fall short next to my Regent 30 all-tube combo.
The speaker is original, the cone had a crack a few years ago (the power plug was the culprit), it was specially repaired in a workshop then, and has been working excellently ever since.
It's completely analog, no digital circuitry inside, the output transistors are also original Marlboro types. Works well with pedals.
