For sale is a like-new Marathon Replay series stratocaster. The instrument was manufactured 8-10 years ago in Korea, according to online sources. The body is made of solid, well-resonating hardwood, and its finish and craftsmanship are both high-quality, with only minimal, usage-related hairline scratches and minor dents noticeable up close. The neck is carved from maple with a rosewood fretboard. It is perfectly straight and, due to its age, will not warp; it's flatter than a traditional C-profile Strat neck, and the frets are also in like-new condition. The electronics are flawless, producing the characteristic Stratocaster sound, and the rear humbucker – splitable with a factory-installed mini-switch – also allows for a heavier sound. A weak point, unfortunately typical for its price range, is the rather weak tuners, which can cause tuning instability, especially with heavy tremolo use (replacing them would make the otherwise solid, 2-point tremolo more usable), but they do their job adequately for normal playing. Overall, it's a comfortable, solid instrument with good value for money.
