An as-new Marathon Replay series Stratocaster for sale. The instrument was manufactured 8-10 years ago in Korea, according to internet sources. The body is made of solid, well-resonating hardwood, the finish and craftsmanship are both high-quality, only minimal, use-related hairline scratches and tiny dents are noticeable up close. The neck is carved from maple with a rosewood fingerboard. It is perfectly straight and will not warp due to its age; it is flatter than a traditional C-profile Strat neck, and the frets are also in as-new condition. The electronics are flawless, delivering the characteristic Stratocaster sound; the rear humbucker can be split with a mini-switch for a harder sound. As a weak point, I would mention the weaker tuners, typical for its price range, which can cause tuning instability, especially with heavy tremolo use (replacing them would allow full use of the otherwise massive, 2-point tremolo), but they do their job well during normal playing. Overall, a comfortable, decent, and good value-for-money instrument.
