KORG's popular touch-sensitive surface controlled products have already offered many interesting possibilities for DJs, but this time the company's designers have come up with a more complex product offering many creative options. The Kaossilator Pro is the successor to the Kaossilator, but far surpasses it in capability. The designers have now created the new Pro model by combining the strengths of previous models.
If we decide on the Kaossilator Pro, we get a compact, portable synthesizer sound module controllable via a touch-sensitive surface (with numerous electronic and acoustic sounds), PCM drum sounds, built-in vocoder programs, a sample and loop recorder, all condensed into a single device. The KAOSS X-Y touch-sensitive surface allows us to control various parameters of the device. We can assign different parameters to the horizontal and vertical axes, thus drastically influencing the sound of a instrument in real-time by moving our finger.
Compared to previous models, the Kaossilator Pro includes a wider selection of sounds and allows for more sophisticated loop recording; we can re-record loops as many times as we want, adding a new track in the process (overdub recording); we can store recorded loops in four banks.
