Kay (Teisco) - Yamaha Japanese SG electric guitar for sale from the late 1960s!



A true SG rarity from Japan, from the 60s, from the pre-Gibson era. (Lawsuit era)

It still has the open book headstock like Gibsons, which was later changed for legal reasons. This makes it a rarity within the model!



In excellent condition for its age, Japanese made. It has only a few minor scratches and small dings, which are not even visible in the photos.



Incredibly resonant aged wood, with a loud unplugged sound, transparent sunburst lacquer showing the wood grain well. The neck is straight, very playable, comfortable.



Everything is original on the guitar, the pickups are P90 single coil type, likely ˝Toaster˝ pickups, they have a very vintage sound! 22 frets, + zero fret, which is not common in this category. Two separate pickup selector switches. The electronics have also been serviced, everything works, no noise, no contact issues. The guitar has been professionally set up according to Gibson standard, works flawlessly. No fret buzz, etc.



If you crave the sound of the 60s at an affordable price, and want a stable, time-tested, truly unique instrument, then this is an excellent choice!
