JBL (the Rolls-Royce of speakers!) This D140F is a 15" speaker manufactured only for the largest bass reflex cabinets of Fender /USA/ all-tube bass amps. Peak: 800W, RMS: 400W, Sine: 200W, 8 ohm. 101dB, 4" (102mm) flat-wire turbo-cooled voice coil, AlNiCo magnet! They can be found in the most expensive Ampeg bass guitar cabinets and in many other renowned brands, among the best (most expensive)!
For sale for the discerning in factory new condition, but at a used price! Asking price: less than half the new price: 68,990 Ft/pc. Reconing & Repair Prices 15" JBL D140F, D140F-8 (Fender) USD 264.00 at today's dollar exchange rate 58,000 Ft + shipping + insurance/pc. By the time it arrives refurbished, approx: 70,000 Ft!!! (I buy it cheap, worn out for 20,000, spend 70,000 on it, and I have a refurbished one, identical in quality to a factory new one, but worn and used! Then is this smart, or buying an original factory new unused one for 68,900?!!!)
The cheap purchase at 20,000 will still only be a refurbished used part, while these are factory original new ones, at less than half price!!! It matters!
What is cheaper: buying multiple cheap items, hoping for a miracle, and losing at least 50% on each, or buying one real good one once, which will serve you in all circumstances and still hold its value well?! (Online: a 40-year-old Fender Bassman head with a 2xJBL D140F speaker cabinet in good condition is still 330,000 Ft today!!! The original good old Rolls Royce is worth more than many new ones!)
