Isophon, German 10" (25cm), 50W, 8ohm, bass speaker (1 pc.). Excellent for combos, supplementary cabinets, barely used, almost new condition, part of my professional speaker collection (which I am liquidating at age 72) now well below its value, with a trial guarantee, for half the price of new similar ones. It significantly enhances cheaper combos with its full, warm sound!
These Isophons were reliable, high-quality 50W (music max. 100W, 8ohm) speakers for West German guitar combos. True, it doesn't have the legend of a Celestion-equipped Marshall, which was created by the early drug-related death of Jimmy Hendrix, the genius guitarist who even ripped strings with his teeth! I've kept this in my speaker collection for about 35 years (I had a mania for comparison, so I bought as many different types as possible; I'm interested in the performance, not legends and ads), from which I've gradually sold off the larger pieces for retirement income. Most of those seen in the 9-year-old picture are already sold, the more well-known ones sell better, which is often just the result of expensive advertising. If you're not satisfied with the sound of your cheap bass combo, listen to this one! Back then, they didn't produce tens of thousands of speaker types like today, but the ones they did produce are still top-tier today, just expensive, like the original Jimmy-legendary Celestion Greenback 25W ones! This one is cheap now because it has no pair! You can listen to it in my test cabinet, bring your combo and guitar, and compare!
