he IC210 is an Iceman series solid body electric guitar model introduced by Ibanez for 1978. It was made in Japan by FujiGen and replaced the similar 2663TC.
The IC210 features a mahogany body mated to a set-in 3-ply rock maple neck with a 22-fret ebonized rosewood fingerboard with binding and pearloid parallelogram position markers. Components include a Gibraltar fixed bridge, a Quik Change tailpiece, a specially designed Triple-coil pickup with a 4-position rotary coil-split selector, a bone and brass nut, Sure Grip knobs, and Velve-Tune II machine heads. The output jack is mounted on the face of the guitar.
The 3-pole, 4-way rotary coil selector functions as follows:
Position 1: Neck coil + dummy middle coil (hum cancelling)
Position 2: Bridge coil + middle coil (non hum cancelling)
Position 3: All three coils in series
Position 4: All three coils in parallel
The IC200 is a similar model with a more traditional two humbucker pickup configuration.
As few as 115 IC210s were produced — 68 for 1978 and 47 for 1979.[1]
The IC210 was discontinued after 1979.
