A Fostex Model 280 vintage cassette multitracker in immaculate condition is for sale. Everything works, pots are tight, nothing crackles.
The first 4 tracks have a superb, warm-sounding analog EQ. With trimmed channels, a very nice sounding overdrive can be achieved. Thus, you get 4 distortion effects too :) 2 aux, direct tape out for the 4 channels. +4 'normal' channels. Pre/post mixer record. It works with a 60-minute chrome cassette, recording for approx. 15 minutes on 4 tracks (hi-speed). I'm including 8 unopened Fuji K2X chrome cassettes (10 EUR each).

Even used just as a mixer, it's a good piece of gear, outperforming current consumer mixers in sound and build quality. This still has substance.
