This EQ is the most capable model among Cherub's acoustic guitar electronics. In addition to the three-band equalizer, we can choose from Echo/Reverb and Chorus/Widener effects. With the effects and a combo, our guitar can produce a professional sound in a club or social gathering, and all you need is the guitar and a simple combo! The pickup is a cable piezo with a more "acoustic" sound, often referred to as "Sonicore piezo" by Fishman. It also features a phase switch and a digital tuner. The unit has two boxes. One - containing the controls - is placed on top in the body. The other contains the 9V battery and the jack output. This can be placed below, also in the body.
***** WHAT SHOULD I USE IT FOR??
There are many electronics available on the "market" that can be built into acoustic/classical guitars. The range in quality, features, and price is very wide. This type is very demanding in terms of sound quality and noise, but represents a very friendly price point. Although the "Sonicore" system piezo fundamentally produces a conservative, acoustic-like sound, the entire electronics with effects make it a more modern, "cool," and innovative device. Used "carefully," the modern effects can hold their own even on a classical guitar – in a classical style. However, with a well-achieved Widener + Echo setting, you can create a fantastic atmosphere without any additional external effects, needing only "a single guitar." If you don't want to use external effects but might need them, or want to experiment with special ambient sounds, this electronics is a very good choice!
