Description
huendeskesArion SFC-1 Fat Chorus. The legend. The Arion pedal with the highest collector's value and rarest.
Made in Japan in the 1980s.
Arion SCH-1 chorus pedals have long been popular for their beautiful clean, shimmering, and rich sound. Many big names use them (Michael Landau, Scott Henderson, etc.).
In this case, the Fat Chorus is a factory-modified SCH-1 pedal.
It retains the brilliant modulation characteristics, but in a slightly deceptive way, the tone pot works differently here than in the base version.
On one jack output: In the fully counter-clockwise position, it produces the SCH-1 chorus sound, but when turned back, the potentiometer first increases the signal level, then the bass.
On the other jack output: In the fully counter-clockwise position, it produces the SCH-1 chorus sound, but when the potentiometer is turned back, there is only a bass boost.
90% of the Fat Choruses on the market are fakes. They usually modify the circuit of the SCH-1 or the current SCH-Z series made in Sri Lanka into their housing.
This pedal is completely original. It has been thoroughly checked. First version Fat Chorus, with a large Toshiba chip. The sound is fantastic, the operation is completely noiseless. It's practically a boost chorus, similar to Tech 21 pedals, but it predates them by decades. It's excellent for bass guitar due to its capabilities.
