Description
huendeskesFor sale is my ARIA PRO II SB-900 bass guitar, manufactured in Japan (Matsumoku) in 1980.
Ash body, 5-piece maple-walnut neck-through, rosewood fingerboard, brass bridge and nut, SD BassLines pickups, Zolkow electronics.
Controls: Volume-Volume-Tone, Bass-Mid-Treble
Active/passive switch, mid-frequency switch.
(The original electronics and pickups are also available, it's a bit cheaper with the original electronics, but I can't install the old ones, only remove the Zolkow preamp. :) )
The bass hardware is original, the paint is not.
The previous owner repainted it beautifully because it was "in ungrateful hands" before.
A very stable, extra comfortable bass guitar, thanks to the Zolkow preamp and well-placed pickups, it can produce a wide variety of characterful sounds.
The reason for selling is that I want a 5-string bass (again).
The neck is very comfortable, the frets are flawless.
Inspected and set up at guitar.clinic.
If someone takes it in the next few days, there might be room for negotiation. ;)
"The original run of Aria Pro II Super Basses were made in the 1970s and 1980s, and were the top of the line basses coming out of the Matsumoku factory in Japan. They were kind of a poor mans Alembic, with multi-laminate neck-through construction..."
