Hi everyone!
Antonarra guitars were manufactured in Japan from the mid-70s during a period when guitar copying was not yet sanctioned. This is the so-called Lawsuit era.
Incredibly high-quality guitars were made during this period in these small manufactories.
Antonarra guitars were specifically distributed to Western Europe at that time.
This dreadnought guitar is none other than a Martin D-41.... :)
Its Austrian owner bought this particular instrument in 1976.
Very dense grain, solid spruce top, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, top, and binding....
Very exciting, mature, even chord sound, warm lows.
Perfectly straight C-shaped neck, set up... low string action and string tension, very comfortable beast.
With fresh Martin strings...
It perfectly captures the Martin feel... and some of the widely available Morris guitars can only aspire to it.
40 years have left some marks on it, but it is in completely original condition, ready for stage and studio.
If you are looking for a premium guitar, try out such an old instrument... you will fall in love with it! It has a soul and a history. :) It will be a loyal companion with a microphone or a good pickup...
