It has two modes: 1. Program Change - for preset switching: controlling Guitar Rig, Bias, Amplitube, etc. 2. Control Change - for controlling Mainstage, Ableton Live, etc. All buttons can work in momentary or latch mode.
It's a great little device, only selling due to underutilization, now at half price.
