The BOSS CS-3 is a very solid and rugged compressor with a good overall sound. The JHS modification simply takes an already solid compressor and add a new dimension and character by installing high quality components as replacements of the originals.

As JHS Pedals describes about the modification: ˝The overall feel is tightened up and made more transparent. One other change is the addition of germanium diodes into the circuit for tube-like qualities that give this compressor something to be proud of. You can be sure that the Hi-Fi CS-3 will stand beside boutique units that cost twice as much, and it will never back down.˝
