1990 Heritage H-140 in used condition.



Crafted in Kalamazoo Michigan at the former Gibson guitar factory.

The h-140 is a lighter weight version of the H-150. What`s important to know here is that the guitar is not weight relieved. It is made with a slightly slimmer body back and also more like a 60`s slim taper contoured neck. It is a dream to play. The guitar weighs about 7 and 3/4lbs. So it`s more of a medium weight guitar than a lightweight. And to my ears it has a heavyweight sound. Nice and big and full. It resonates the way it is supposed to as a true solid body guitar with a large total area mass to it.

Tonally it has a very great signature of the classic single cut tonal spectrum. Great lasting sustain. Warm, blended midrange. Mids that have ˝crunch˝ to them that will put a smile on your face when the gain is turned up. And very importantly it has treble and high end that is detailed, articulate but not harsh.

The crack on the head was repaired a long time ago by a specialist, which has been statically flawless ever since. A Few weeks ago the neck of the instrument has been refrets and professionally setup and cleaned in the best guitar repair shop in the country, where they did an excellent job. So the guitar is unbelievable comfortable.

The sound is like on the old records, speaks amazingly on everything.
